The Hotel Sindbad is a large resort hotel located directly on its own private beach and within a kilometre of Hammamet town centre. The 145 guestrooms are housed in Moresque-style bungalows with either blue or yellow decor and co-ordinated fabrics, stone floors and wrought- iron bedsteads and armchairs. Each has a balcony or terrace that overlooks either the sea or the hotel gardens; all include air-conditioning, satellite televisions and minibars, and have bathrooms with tubs, bidets and complimentary toiletries.
The hotel has a choice of dining experiences, from the formal luxury of the Chiraz to the outdoor barbecues of Les Voiliers. Guests can relax on outdoor terraces that overlook the sea or the hotel's swimming pool, and enjoy a selection of French, international or Tunisian dishes. The Djin bar has contemporary polished laminate floors, sofas and low-level coffee tables. The Pub 19 bar adopts a British pub theme, with tartan chairs, colourful decor and a pool table. The hotel has a swimming pool and a spa centre where guests enjoy sauna, jetted tubs, massage or Tunisian 'hammam' baths. Water sports can be enjoyed on the beach such as surfing and parasailing, and the hotel provides a complimentary shuttle bus to the Citrus golf club, which hotel guests can use at preferential rates. The concierge and front-desk staff are on hand to exchange currency, offer advice on local attractions, and arrange excursions and airport transfers. The hotel houses facilities for conferences and functions that can accommodate up to 150 people. Shopping and restaurants are in abundance both in the city centre, 1.5 kilometres away, and at the Yasmina Marina, 4 kilometres away. Those with young children can have a family day out at Carthage Land theme park, four kilometres from the hotel, or Friguis Park zoo, 25 kilometres from the hotel. Tunis Airport is 60 kilometres (37 miles) from the hotel and can be reached by car in approximately one hour.
